Blue Jays Stick Royals with 2-1 Loss
The Burlington Royals got a superb performance from pitcher Jorge Gurule. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bluefield. The Blue Jays won the game, 2-1. Gurule came in in relief and pitched to 22 batters. Yvain Natta picked up his 5th save of the season. The Blue Jays go to 19-26, putting them 5th in the East.

Mario Silva broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Blue Jays in front, 2-1. For the game, Silva drove in one run.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Bluefield skipper Nate Todaro. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
