Burlington Earn 10-1 Victory at Bowen Field
The Burlington Royals and starting pitcher Jose Vasques stifled the Bluefield offense en route to a comfortable 10-1 win at Bowen Field. Burlington reliever Jose Vasques picked up the win. Brady Misiewicz took the loss for Bluefield. The Royals, now 23-25, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.

In the top of the seventh, Burlington left fielder Skyler Brown had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Brown stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Burlington. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Bluefield manager Nate Todaro. "They smoked us."
