The Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Minnesota Twins topped the Cleveland Guardians, 9-0, in American League action at Target Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota pitcher Jon Meger. Meger got the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Meger allowed no runs.
Greg Schuler, who is on pace for 73 RBI this season, contributed to the Minnesota win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"It was our day today," Schuler told the Minnesota Gazette. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
