|
The Burlington Royals beat the Princeton Rays at Burlington Athletic Stadium. The final score was 4-2, in favor of Burlington. Bobby Brancati led the way, going 3-for-5 for the home team. Ray Maier earned the save for Burlington, his 7th. The Royals improved their record to 37-12 with the win over Princeton.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the sixth, Brancati had a key at-bat for Burlington. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Brancati hit a run-scoring single off Jayden Wilkins, making the score 3-2, Royals.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Brancati told the Burlington Bulletin. "Whatever it takes."
