Dodgers Bury Guardians, 17-2
|
Los Angeles beat Cleveland in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Los Angeles Dodgers firmly defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 17-2, at Progressive Field. The Los Angeles offense was lit. John Kieler, for one, had a solid game. He went 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Dodgers. Los Angeles reliever John Cronin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Rob Lewey absorbed the loss.
In the first inning, Kieler had a 3-run home run for Los Angeles. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Dodgers on top, 3-0.
Cleveland manager Danny Jaime called the blowout loss "not what we had in mind."
Los Angeles now owns a record of 19-25.
