Red Sox Reel Off Another Win
The Washington Nationals had their hands full with Boston Red Sox starter Eric Flores, who frustrated Washington hitters while leading Boston to a comfortable, 8-1 win. Boston is 21-24 and Washington, with the loss, 28-17.

Boston designated hitter Mike McMillen contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 3-1.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Flores.
