Bakersfield Drops Another One, 11-9
The Inland Empire 66ers overcame a pretty good performance by Bakersfield third baseman Rafael Magana, beating the Blaze, 11-9, at San Manuel Stadium. Magana went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Inland Empire reliever Armando Gutierrez picked up the win, while Ricardo Cruz took the loss for Bakersfield. Inland Empire sits in 4th place in the South Division at 53-81.

Inland Empire pinch hitter Manny Villalobos helped the 66ers go up, 11-9, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Villalobos hit a 2-run single off Bakersfield pitcher Josh Gordon.

"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Bakersfield manager Matt Kolb. "It's just not paying off."
