Bakersfield Blaze starter Guillermo Lopez led his team to victory over the Inland Empire 66ers, 6-2. The left-hander was locked-in. The Blaze go to 54-82 with the win.

Bakersfield used the timely hitting of Chris Guerrero to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Guerrero called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
