Remien Dazzles in 2-0 Lake Elsinore Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Lake Elsinore Storm and the Inland Empire 66ers, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Remien proved to be the difference. The Lake Elsinore right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Storm win. Jose Urbina closed out the game, earning his 8th save. The third-place Storm are 69-70.
Remien was in the zone all game. He frustrated Inland Empire hitters while giving the Storm 7 innings of quality work. Remien threw 72 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 8 punchouts.
"The old adage is true," said Remien. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
