JetHawks Get 3-2 Win Versus Inland Empire
Lancaster pitcher Matt Murphy had a large part in his team subduing the Inland Empire 66ers, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Jim Unknown earned the save for Lancaster, his 1st of the year. The JetHawks saw their win-loss record go to 74-66. At the same time, the 66ers fell to 61-79.

Had Sean Connell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Connell hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the JetHawks.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Connell told the Lancaster Today.
