Twins Lose to Baltimore, 3-2
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Minnesota Twins, 3-2. Baltimore pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Jose Savala led the way. Baltimore reliever Pete Fordyce picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Alex Casanova was saddled with the loss. Baltimore is now 26-20, Minnesota 23-23.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Jeremy Martin, the 23-year old right fielder . Martin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Baltimore up, 3-2.
"We busted our tails," said Minnesota manager Chris Greuling. "But we came up short."
