Athletics Claim 5-3 Triumph
|
The Oakland Athletics earned a win at O.co Coliseum, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 5-3. On the bump for Oakland was right-hander Dylan Harrison. He had a starring role in the triumph. Dustin McClellan, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.2 innings. At 25-23, Oakland is in second place in the American League West Division.
Oakland took the lead, 5-3, on Chris Schmucker's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Minnesota pitcher Tim Brockman in the bottom of the eighth.
"Dylan is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Oakland manager Jon Pearson.
