Huffman Too Much for Pirates in 2-0 Boston Win
|
The Boston Red Sox got a magnificent performance from pitcher Eric Huffman, who muffled the Pittsburgh offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Red Sox win at PNC Park. Jonas Bautista recorded the save, his 3rd. The third-place Red Sox improved to 24-25.
Boston starter Eric Huffman was exceptional. The 6-foot-8 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"I went after the hitters," said Huffman. "No pussyfooting around."
