Brewers Deal San Francisco 6-0 Defeat
|
The San Francisco Giants got a superb performance from pitcher Brian McQuain, but the Milwaukee Brewers still won the game, 6-0. McQuain threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The win went to Jesus Delgadillo in relief, making him now 4-4. Brian McQuain took the loss for San Francisco. The save went to Ray Dunham, number 1 for him.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pat Yaeger? The Milwaukee left fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Brewers on top, 2-0. For the game, Yaeger had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I liked our effort," said Brewers manager Dan Silva.
With the win, the Brewers have a record of 19-31.
