Slumping Yankees Lose Again
|
Baltimore (Rk+) shortstop Stéphane Nicolas made his presence felt in the 4-1 Orioles triumph over the Pulaski Yankees. Nicolas was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Baltimore (Rk+) reliever Zane Sorrick snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jonathan Wade shouldered the loss. Pulaski is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 10 games.
Chris Dawson dealt the Yankees a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Baltimore (Rk+) leading 1-0, Dawson, who is tied for 10th in the APP in stolen bases with 12, hit a 2-1 cutter for a run-scoring single.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Baltimore (Rk+) manager Jose Sierra.
