Astros Take Down Mets, 3-1
|
Luis Cueto was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Pioneer Park. In fact, the Greeneville Astros left-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-1 victory over the Kingsport Mets. Brett Babe nailed down his 1st save. The win for the Astros lifted their record to 28-21.
Greeneville took a 3-1 lead on Jose Diaz's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Diaz hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kingsport pitcher Bill Comrie visibly frustrated.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Cueto.
