Brewers Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
|
The Milwaukee Brewers handed the Los Angeles Dodgers a 4-3 defeat at Dodger Park. First Baseman Bernie Sanchez starred for Milwaukee. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Juan Mata picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Alejandro Lozano was tagged with the loss. The last-place Brewers bumped their record to 24-28.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Fred Martin? The Milwaukee second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Brewers on top, 4-2. For the game, Martin had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Milwaukee manager Danny Post applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
