Reds Win at Home, 6-4
|
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-4, at Great American Ball Park. Pat Warner, who is a three-time All-Star, starred for Cincinnati. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Justin Jenkin in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Dan Buskey took the loss. Corey Comer recorded the save for Cincinnati, his 16th of the season.
In the bottom of the third, Cincinnati first baseman Jim Hall had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Hall stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-0, Cincinnati. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Warner attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
