Red Sox Fall to Rangers, 5-0
|
Texas picked up a win at Fenway Park, bumping off the Boston Red Sox, 5-0. Pitcher Ryan Zeiher was a major reason the Rangers emerged victorious. At 18-35, the Rangers claim last place in the American League West Division.
Luis Chavez, the 28-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Chavez contributed a bases-clearing triple in the top of the third inning to put Texas up, 4-0.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Rangers manager Stephen Gesualdi. "This one was nice to get."
