Yankees Lose as Rays Stage Late Rally
Forrest Clayton was instrumental in his team's 9-7 triumph over the New York Yankees. The catcher went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa Bay reliever Brian Sarchet picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Mike Rice was saddled with the loss. The Rays improved to 26-28.

In the top of the eighth, the Rays grabbed the lead when Clayton hit his 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Ben McKie made it 9-7, Tampa Bay.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Kyle Delgado.
