The Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Chicago White Sox, 6-5, at Rogers Centre. Greg Whitaker produced 1 single and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Toronto reliever Victor Urueta picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ricky Maldonado absorbed the loss. Toronto is now 32-21.
Ricky Ulloa was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Whitaker said.
