Late Rally Earns Johnson City 3-1 Win
The Johnson City Cardinals, despite a fine performance by San Francisco (Rk+) pitcher Danny Romero, grabbed a 3-1 win at Ballpark of Anchorage. Romero allowed 1 run over 6 innings. Johnson City reliever Mason Goodwin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Tony Padilla absorbed the loss. The Cardinals go to 28-21, putting them third in the West.

Johnson City used the clutch hitting of Brian Wallace to snag the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Wallace. "I think we showed that here."
