Guardians Take Down Twins, 7-2
The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Minnesota Twins, 7-2, in American League action at Progressive Field. Cleveland pitcher Manny Rodriguez had a standout performance. Rodriguez yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-6. At 23-29, the Guardians find themselves in last place in the American League Central Division.

Kevin Dillhoff had a big 3-run home run for the Guardians in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from fireballing left-hander Pablo Herrera and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Guardians on top, 6-0.

"Manny's as tough as he is talented," said Cleveland manager Mike Nichols.
