Kingsport Gets 9-1 Road Win
The Kingsport Mets and starting pitcher Nolan Nelson stifled the Bluefield offense en route to a comfortable 9-1 win at Bowen Field. Kingsport has now won 4 straight, while the Blue Jays have lost 4 in a row.

Josh McDonald had a big 2-run double for the Mets in the top of the first inning. With Kingsport leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jesus Mejia and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 4-0.

Said losing manager Nate Todaro: "We did everything to set the stage for them to beat us."
