Jordan, Athletics Get Tidy 2-0 Win Over Toronto
|
Isaiah Jordan was outstanding against Toronto. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the AL in wins with 5, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Athletics 2-0 win. The victory gives Oakland a record of 28-26.
Jordan was in the zone all game. He frustrated Toronto hitters while giving the Athletics 7.1 innings of quality work. Jordan threw 106 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 11 punchouts.
"My gosh almighty, Isaiah was tremendous," said Oakland manager Jon Pearson.
