The Tampa Bay Rays picked up a win at Rogers Centre, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-3. Starting pitcher Dustin Walker was a big reason why. Edgar Gines nailed down the save. Tampa Bay is first in the American League East Division with a record of 36-19.

Tampa Bay used a well-timed hit by Brian McDonald to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Rays ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Solid performance from our side," said Rays manager Kyle Delgado.
