The Seattle Mariners took Texas pitcher Danny Bagwell's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The final score had Seattle getting past the Rangers, 3-0. Bagwell went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 6. The Mariners improved to 33-21.
The Mariners got a big at-bat from shortstop Tim Larsen. For the game, Larsen was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Texas manager Stephen Gesualdi. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
