Houston Astros starter Miguel Fregoso turned in a top-notch performance against the Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park. The result was a win for the Astros, 6-0. Their 28-28 record puts the Astros second in the American League West Division.

Fregoso picked up the win. He's now 4-4, after putting the Oakland offense in the deep freeze. Over 7 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.

"Miguel throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Houston manager Zeb Currier.
