Cubs Dealt 6-4 Loss
|
Cleveland left fielder Billy Thrash helped his team beat the Chicago Cubs, 6-4. Thrash went 2 for 4 for the Guardians. Nick Wise earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Pablo Iglesias closed it out for Cleveland, earning his 10th save.
Thrash contributed in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Cleveland get the win.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Thrash told the Cleveland Citizen.
Cleveland has a record of 23-33, placing them last in the American League Central Division.
