Phillies Win, 7-5
|
The timely hitting of Allan Alessi helped the Philadelphia Phillies down the Houston Astros, 7-5. Alessi went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Phillies. The Phillies now have a record of 32-24 with the win over Houston.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Chris Wright to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Phillies on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Alessi told the Philadelphia Observer: "Don't care what other people think. Allan knows who Allan is."
