Cincinnati Makes It 6 Straight with 6-0 Win
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Cincinnati-Philadelphia ballgame.
Tom Hedges knocked in 3 runs to help Cincinnati beat Philadelphia, 6-0. Hedges produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Jeff Brown picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Ryan Wright, who led the AL in wins with 22 in 2104, was tagged with the loss.
With Cincinnati leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Hedges hit a sinker from Ryan Wright for a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 6-0.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Hedges after the game.
Cincinnati now sits at 36-21, while Philadelphia falls to 14-42.
