Giants Clip Rays, 3-2
|
San Francisco (Rk+) and Princeton left the crowd in suspense until the last at-bat.
The San Francisco (Rk+) Giants beat the Princeton Rays, 3-2, at Ballpark of Anchorage. The win was due in part to right fielder Aaron Roeske, who went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. San Francisco (Rk+), at 27-25, holds down 4th place in the East.
The game came to an abrupt end with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Juan Gerardino, Alejandro Reyes hit a sacrifice fly. It gave San Francisco (Rk+) the 3-2 win.
"We gutted it out and got the 'W'," said Roeske.
