In a low-scoring tilt between the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants and the Pulaski Yankees, 21-year old right-handed pitcher Bryan Schmidt was the difference-maker. The San Francisco (Rk+) right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Jamie Estrella earned the save, his 10th. The Giants now have a record of 34-19 with the win over Pulaski.

Hector Guzman came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco (Rk+). The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
