The Elizabethton Twins knocked off the Danville Braves, 4-1, in Appalachian League action at Joe O'Brien Field. Elizabethton pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Alex Mora had an outstanding performance. The first-place Twins now sit at 36-19.

The Twins ran into trouble in the top of the fourth. The score was 1-0, Elizabethton, with two down. Danville, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, had Rich Kent at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he struck out and the Twins went on to win.
