Boston (Rk+) 4-3 Losers to Twins
|
The Elizabethton Twins turned back the Boston (Rk+) Red Sox, 4-3, at Joe O'Brien Field. Jim Hudnall, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Elizabethton is 6th in the West with a record of 24-31.
Bobby Cobos went 1 for 1 with a walk for Elizabethton. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Cobos had a clutch at-bat. Facing Boston (Rk+) hurler Lee Gasser, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Twins a 4-3 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cobos told the Elizabethton Daily News.
