Youngblood Fires Shutout in Royals Victory
In an outstanding mound performance, Burlington Royals starter Garrett Youngblood fired a complete-game shutout against the Bristol Pirates at Burlington Athletic Stadium.

Youngblood was the key to the 11-0 Burlington win. The 26-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 1 hit and 2 walks he allowed.

"1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."

So far this year, Youngblood has made 10 starts, tossed 81.1 innings, struck out 60 batters and walked 36. His record is 9-1 with a 1.88 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .184 batting average.
