Rays Down Braves, 6-1

Princeton Rays starter David Gomez turned in a top-notch performance against the Danville Braves at American Legion Field. The result was a win for the Rays, 6-1. The win elevated the Rays to 50-11.
Princeton used the timely hitting of Travis Perkins to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rays on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Princeton skipper Rusty Brady.
