Angels Rally to Win, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring contest, Los Angeles pitcher John Larson was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win in 13 innings. Picking up the save was Matt Yaryan, his 1st. Los Angeles's record now stands at 31-27, placing them second in the American League West Division.
Motohiko Hirano came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Swagger goes hand in hand with playing well," said Los Angeles manager Matt Moore.
