4-3 Loss Extends Bristol Skid
The Burlington Royals did just enough to sneak past the Bristol Pirates, 4-3, at Devault Memorial Stadium. Burlington pitcher Harry Evans, in particular, had a standout performance. Arturo Vidal earned the save for Burlington, his 4th of the year. The Royals now have a record of 29-32.

Luis de Leon had a direct impact on the outcome. de Leon contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Burlington up, 1-0.

"It was our day today," Evans told the Burlington Times. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
