Kingsport Beats Princeton, 4-1

The Kingsport Mets defeated the Princeton Rays, 4-1, at Hunter Wright Stadium. Leading the charge for Kingsport was designated hitter Jose Pena. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. John Pretlow came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Mets go to 18-45 with the win.
Early in the game, Pena had a 3-run home run for Kingsport. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Mets on top, 3-0.
Said Princeton manager Rusty Brady: "We weren't able to do much."
