Led by 21-year-old Josh McDonald, the Kingsport Mets downed the Bristol Pirates, 7-6. McDonald went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Kingsport. Kingsport pitcher William Arce earned the win, hiking his record to 5-1. J.R. Purcell suffered the loss. Kingsport currently is in 4th place in the West at 37-24.

Andy Blizzard drew 1 walk for Kingsport. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off J.R. Purcell. It was his 12th walk of the season.

"We've got a great group of guys," Blizzard said, "and we're having fun right now."
