Twins Victorious at Bristol, 4-0
|
The performance of Mike Searles proved critical in helping Elizabethton beat Bristol, 4-0. The Twins first baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. Elizabethton reliever Nick Dotson snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Santiago Sorto shouldered the loss. Elizabethton is now 31-30, while Bristol is 5-56.
The Twins got a big at-bat from third baseman Ryan Jeanson. For the game, Jeanson was 1 for 4 with a triple. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Elizabethton a 1-0 lead.
Bristol manager Yamada Tani, after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."
