Blue Jays Send Danville Home with 9-2 Loss
The Bluefield Blue Jays locked up a win at American Legion Field, knocking off the Danville Braves, 9-2. On the mound for Bluefield was right-hander Chris Montgomery. He played a major role in the triumph. The Blue Jays now have a record of 34-30.

The Blue Jays got a big hit from left fielder Josh Acosta. Facing Danville pitcher Jon Rodriguez in the top of the fifth, Acosta pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 1st home run of the season put the Blue Jays ahead, 9-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Acosta.
