Red Sox Turn Away Blue Jays, 2-1

In a low-scoring contest between the Boston (Rk+) Red Sox and the Bluefield Blue Jays, Raul Cervantes was the X factor. The Boston (Rk+) right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The save went to Brandon Coombs, number 1 for him. At 30-35, the Red Sox find themselves in 4th place in the East.
Boston (Rk+) used a well-timed hit by Jerry Rivas to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"Raul made some big pitches when he needed to," said Red Sox manager Jay Mizrahi.
