Slumping Twins Lose 6th Straight
The timely hitting of Greg Ambriz helped the Bristol Pirates down the Elizabethton Twins, 4-2. Ambriz went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pirates. Bristol reliever August Kirchmann picked up the win, upping his record to 5-6. Pablo Herrera absorbed the loss. Elizabethton is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Ambriz had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 curveball from Pablo Herrera, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Pirates a 4-2 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Ambriz.

Ambriz attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
