Giants Rally to Win, 8-7
|
Giants fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Nick Dwyer did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Danville Braves from losing the game, 8-7, to the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants in 12 innings at Ballpark of Anchorage. Dwyer was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. San Francisco (Rk+) is 5th in the East with a record of 28-40.
Sam Scheurer delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the 12th to win it for the Giants. For the game, Scheurer went 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Chris Aversa, the San Francisco (Rk+) manager.
