Borchers Electric in 3-0 Win
|
Baltimore (Rk+) starter Chris Borchers put a stranglehold on the Princeton offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Orioles to a 3-0 win. The last-place Orioles bumped their record to 28-43.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Borchers. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Orioles. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Rays, striking out 14 and scattering 2 hits over 6.1 innings. Borchers is now 3-2 on the season.
"I know we have our doubters," said Princeton manager Rusty Brady. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
