Giants Rally to Nose Past San Diego (Rk+)
The San Francisco (Rk+) Giants earned a close win over the San Diego (Rk+) Padres, thanks in part to Jason Kelly. The San Francisco (Rk+) right-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The win was credited to 20-year old left-handed pitcher Jamie Estrella in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Jose Urbina took the loss. Mark Pellicano picked up the save, his 1st.

San Francisco (Rk+) took a 2-1 lead on Trent Clow's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Clow hit in the top of the eighth, left San Diego (Rk+) pitcher Jose Urbina visibly frustrated.

"That's baseball," said San Diego (Rk+) manager Paul Thomas. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."

San Francisco (Rk+) is now 43-27. San Diego (Rk+) is 37-33.
