The Greeneville Astros pasted the Bristol Pirates with a convincing 14-3 defeat at Pioneer Park. Chris Babcock was a prime factor in the Greeneville win. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The first-place Astros improved to 52-18.

Anrrique Joanes had a big 2-run double for the Astros in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Greeneville leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 20-year old right-handed pitcher David Molina and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Astros ahead, 6-3.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Joanes.
