Red Sox Defeat Rangers in 12
|
The Boston Red Sox in 12 innings beat the Texas Rangers, 4-1, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Starting pitcher Dave Salvaggio was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. At 25-33, Boston is in 4th place in the American League East Division.
Danny Adams drove in one run for Boston. The 31-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Joe Jafar. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Adams.
