Blue Jays Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
|
The Baltimore (Rk+) Orioles got a superb performance from pitcher Andres Fonseca, but the Bluefield Blue Jays still won the game, 3-2. Fonseca threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Bluefield reliever David Jolly snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Sean Wilkins shouldered the loss. The Blue Jays saw their record improve to 28-46.
Alex Munoz played the role of hero for Bluefield. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Sean Wilkins to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Munoz said.
